Thanksgiving looks to be quiet for most of the U.S.

U.S. Thanksgiving weather
Smooth sailing for most
Time to roast a turkey.
The turkey should be thawing in the refrigerator, the ingredients for the fixin’ have been bought and the rush to clean the house in full swing. So, what does the weather have in store for Thanksgiving?
You might only need a sweater and a morning jacket to keep the early chill away with highs in upper 40s and low 50s found across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, the Midwest and Pacific Northwest.
Shedding the jacket and the sweater is a great possibility across the Southeast, South, and California as afternoon highs jump into the upper 60s and low 70s.
However, a developing storm system will bring afternoon showers, with afternoon and evening thunderstorms possible across eastern Texas, the Ozarks, the lower Mississippi Valley, and Gulf Coast later in the day. Umbrellas and indoor plans will be needed in New Orleans, Dallas, and Houston.
The coldest Thanksgiving temperatures will be in the Rockies and Mountain West. Denver and Salt Lake City will only be in the upper 30s and low 40s, with a few snow showers bringing some wintry travel to the Rockies.
